I can be talking to someone and they say a word that brings me back to a memory in my life. When I say this sentence, without really thinking about it, what memory in your life first comes to mind:

I never wanted this day to end

There are a few that come to mind. My wedding day, our trip Disneyland and days spent on Lake Tahoe on our friends boat.

I would say my wedding day too, but nowdays it aint very special anymore..So i have to go with the last day of service, seeing some of your closest friends leave for Bosnia, school or Officers training..

It's more of a retrospect thing for me...the word death comes to mind... Not necessarily actually death of a person...but those days you wished could last forever...ones that marked the end of an era. There are SO many for me.

There was an eclipse in the eighties where a former GF and I spent the whole day together (and I literally mean together). It was bizarre. We couldn't get enough of one another.

The first of many memories was a fishing/camping trip with my ex. After she realized she couldn't plug the hairdryer in and cooled off from being mad at me for laughing at her, the day was great. She put on one of my caps and I don't think we caught a thing. But the day was one to remember.

I too feel that there are many days that flashes through my mind. My wedding day would rank very high. Until two years ago, I had all my grandparents. That year I lost the first, my grandmother who I spent lots of time, and who taught me lots of things from cooking to telling time on a analog clock. I think any day with her again that would not end would be great. She was always thinking of her grandchildren through her pain. She was a wonderful grandmother, and I miss her.

My dad used to take each kid out for a father/child night, so he could strengthen the individual bond. He let us choose where ever we wanted to go.

I chose the Ice Capades. My favorite skater, Peggy Flemming, was there. She skated to the song, Send in The Clowns by Judy Collins. My dad dedicated that song to me and we sat there and watched her skate. I can still see the powder blue dress she wore. Then we went to this restaurant I loved and chatted for what seemed like hours. I hated it to end.
