Society and Environment

When I think about raising a family, I question whether this is the sort of environment in which I would want my child/ren to grow up in. A society where illicit sex, drugs, violence and immorality are all too prevalent. That said, I haven't thought of anywhere better. I'd certainly rather here than the US. It does leave me with a dilemna though.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the subject?

When else will you raise a family? People have been raised in the worst of situations and still managed to come out good, moral people. I think excellent parenting (which is hard to define) is all it takes. I still think there's enough beauty out there to make it worth having a family.

You have a wonderful village that you live in, how is the crime rate there? There will always be violence, always be bad things happening. Prinny's right... It's what you make of it. Raise your family and do the best that you can. That is all that you can hope for.
