I just got back from a great mini vacation up north. Thanks to Tats for the wonderful hospitality. ;) My flight home was classic Diva. After learning that there would be a 45 minute delay, I kicked back in the busy airport. Aparently all the polls are wrong about California not caring about sports, because it was filled with Raider fans going home after a game. Excuse me, drunken Raider fans. They were dressed from head to toe in Raider gear, complete with face paint and the smell of cheap beer. I've never seen so many beer guts outside of a sports arena. The Raiders lost, so they weren't happy campers. This one guy sat next to me and we chatted for a while. His friend was lying on his back in the middle of the room, talking loudly to anyone who looked in his direction. Then this lone 49-ner fan signs in and he starts taunting him. Great. Rumble in the airport with no where to go. Luckily, the guy realized he was outnumbered a gazilion to one and went somewhere to sit quietly, using his jacket to cover his 49ner bag. Then the airport decides to move our flight to a different terminal. 45 minutes turned into over an hour. When I finally boarded I got put in a nightmare seat. A Rabbi on one side and an ex boyfriend who was up for the game in the other. He was one of those "Gee, why did I ever leave him" guys that you remember after you start dating again "Oh that's why". Great in bed though. It was pretty damn tempting to join the mile high club, that's for sure. I think the Rabbi was a sort of divine intervention. Jews have that too, ya know.
