Ack!! omg its halloween. and ok I really don't like this holiday :( and I wasn't going to take my kids trick or treating tonight BUT then I thought how sad that everyone in the neighborhood will be knocking on our door and they will be sitting at home w/ nothing to do .... SO we are going *sigh* (no car to go to the movies or anything this year *pout* ) SO I need to know what, if anything I can do for my son, 9yr old boy needs a costume, we can't get to the store, so we have to improvise.... *poor kid* the girls are easy they have fairy wings.... so help me out here....
plz :)
Do you have a suit? You could make him look like a mafia guy. Or a flannel shirt and something to make him look like he has a shadow? He could be a truck driver.

*sigh* I asked him on all those he said no :(
Did you ask him what he wanted to be? Maybe we can work with that.

Make him a bum...scruffy clothes, mussed up hair, a little dirt on the nose/cheeks. Maybe cut holes in a pair of gloves and put on a cap...if he's like the 9 year olds I know, he'll like being dirty.

My costume idea: go as the guy from Memento. Get a linen suit, and carry around a polaroid camera taking pictures of people and getting them to write their names on the back. Great talking point at parties.
(If you haven't seen the movie then (a) you missed out, and (b) that will make no sense to you, sorry.)
How about a mummy? all you need is toilet paper.

A. I didn't see the movie
B. It makes no sense to me
C. You'd better stand in front of that camera too. :p

Go rent Memento immediately. It was a great movie.
I won't give anything away by explaining the basic premise. The main character (who mostly wears this linen suit), has severe short-term amnesia, so he can't remember anything for more than a minute, including people he meets. So he carries around a polaroid camera and takes pictures of them, writing notes on the back. He's trying to track down someone who killed his wife. The whole movie plays out backwards, and often you see a scene several times, the second time starting a little earlier, which puts a totally different spin on things.

Well, it was decided... he went out as a "sports fan" lol He simply refused to dress up and I didn't mind, because this holiday isn't my favorite anyway.... his sisters labeled him a "basketball fan" and it worked for him *whew*
Thanks for all the ideas though, I'll keep these in mind for other years when its last minute.... :)
Heh. There's a belated Halloween party this weekend, and I'm going as Ash from the Evil Dead trilogy.
S'all I could think of.

Pictures! I want pictures! [Psst. Tats. Do you think he'll figure out it's a ploy to look at him more? Shit. Act natural] :whome: Yes, that would be most enjoyable.

Maybe I could entice him to post halloween pics by putting up some of me soon. Mwah ha ha ha ha. Oh wait. You WANT me to do that. Whoops.

Well, halloween has come and gone, but I didn't get around to getting into costume. I was thinking of going as Batman - synthetic abs and all - but but I had neither the time nor motivation to purchase the costume. T'was an interesting night anyhow.

I was a cat! I've never really been one before--I'll post the pic as soon as I can...leopard print skirt, high heels, little black shirt, a cute button nose and of course, ears. Twas fun. Although, I did get a lot of shit for it..."but you're a kitty everyday"!
