There are some stupid people and then there are some stupid people... and then there are employees at UCLA. I'm sitting at my desk, chatting away with Kittroz... er, I mean working diligently, when the fire alarm goes off. Nope, it's not a drill. so we start down the stairwell and instead of stopping on the scheduled floor for fire drills, my supervisor announces that we're walking ten floors down. Now part of me wanted to remind her that we had to go to our floor while the other part figured 'what the hell' it was time off of work. Then both selves agreed that my boss would rip my head off for even suggesting that she's wrong and we fused and walked the rest of the way down. Then the firemen came. These guys are awesome. They made a u-turn on an 8 lane street [4 each side] that I'd need two blocks to do. And back up. And have someone pay for damages. So of course when they came out we clapped, I whistled, and had a dollar bill just in case one decided to strip. Damn! All business. Thirty minutes later the 'emergency' was found. An employee decided to try a fogger he bought for a Halloween party in his enclosed office. What a shit-for-brains.
