And we who knew her fond
Wait in sorrow for fate unveiled.
The bitter taste of words unsaid
We her young pray for time.
Her agéd body now vacant
We fall in tears once more.
Though death were somehow kinder
Her passing leaves us bare.
Dear memories return as torture
Our hollow pity a mocking face.
Not again shall she know pain
It is ours, for we remain.
Wait in sorrow for fate unveiled.
The bitter taste of words unsaid
We her young pray for time.
Her agéd body now vacant
We fall in tears once more.
Though death were somehow kinder
Her passing leaves us bare.
Dear memories return as torture
Our hollow pity a mocking face.
Not again shall she know pain
It is ours, for we remain.
