The pet rock. Chia pets, Sea monkeys... We've all bought those latest fads. What was something that you absolutely had to have and what did you do to get it? Where is it now?

You dissin my sea monkeys?!? They were my first pet, yo. Sure, I spilled them. But I cried that day. I was very sad...one of the suckers grew to be a whole inch.

Shrimp? What you talking about shrimp? They were sea monkeys, dag nabbit!

Hey chikeeta... I couldn't wait to get the king and princess and watch a fairytail happen. They didnt even live. I bought dead shrimp. Waaaa!!!

Mine lasted a few years really...I was surprised...I didn't think they had that sort of life span. I spent hours reading their little booklet.

What did you do with the one that grew to an inch long? Did you use cocktail sauce or melted butter??

Nothing other than greasy McFood. Come on...it makes us obese, why wouldn't it do the same for sea monkeys.

Yeah there was this little booklet that came with the sea monkeys that told all about them. Like how you could teach/train them to play baseball and do all this cool shit. Which they never did. Sigh.

hah! That's classic Usantic. :cheesy: I have my Pet Rock still. My Nana gave it to me with this heartfelt card about how I would always be with her with my Pet Rock. Then she came over when whe broke her leg and started laughing, saying that she was joking and why I'd think a Rock would be something to remember her by. :eek:

A google search produced nada about this little (guy?/girl?). It is copyrighted 1981 by Andrea la (and it looks like) Clinc. Its what it is..........? A little tongue sticking outta a glob of fire and glazed clay. I figured I had to have it coz everybody needs a little tongue now and then. ;)

Wow! I thought Diva was mine, but I'm not getting in the middle of this cat fight. :)

Getting this thread back on track.............

I had to have every pair of Chemin de Fers (Not sure on that spelling). There logo was a train and there were sailor pants, ones that buttoned up except for the top button that stayed open, one's that zipped all the way around (you could zip two different colors together and have one black leg and one blue) and my favorite ones were lace ups. They laced up in the back and front. I can't find a picture of them anywhere though. :(

I loved those zip around pants. Made it so much easier on dates with ladies that wore them. :)
