My friend has been trying to save some money, so we went over her bills and picked things that were uneccessary. I did this a while back so I was helping her. I took out all the little extras on my phone, like call waiting. I hate being interrupted during a call. If someone needs me, all my friends have my email address. If it's an emergency, then the operator can always break in. She had all of these cable channels that she never watched. And a second email account she didn't use.

What little splurges just sit around your house? If you had to give up one, which would it be?

I guess I'm a bit spoiled having a cable modem. Especially now that I'm laid off and my husband is the only one working. I suppose I could go back to dial-up (ewww) which is much cheaper where I live.
I have a bedroom set that I'm making payments on. Nothing wrong with my old bedroom set, I just wanted a really nice one. That would be first to go if I had to.

I think the cable stations would be the first to go. The ones we watch are the basic package anyway.

I would give up NCT.... not expensive, but downright costly, in so many other ways.

I know! I could get rid of my string of Christmas lights...I have this thing for Christmas lights...they're up already-something about what they do for ambience in a room.

Yeah, but I'm stubborn about that...I like to pay my own way AND I like to treat him to stuff whenever I can. It works out fairly well though, he feels the same way as I do...we almost make a competition out of who can get to the bill first :)

Give up something? What a horrid thought! Seriously, I guess I would give up getting my nails done and instead of paying to have my hair colored, I could do it myself. But let's get real serious here - I don't think so! :) Ok, I'll give up a trip to Wal-Mart or Target. No, just thinking about that makes me shiver. Ok, here's my final answer. Give up something? I am fortunate not to be in a situation where I have to 'choose' even though my needs are simple. But when it comes to worse I guess some of my computer stuff would have to go. Or hold on, maybe some of our cars :D

Give up? Well, I'll tell you what I learn from these posts. That we buy things that we could do without. But there are things that are precious to us and we would sacrifice something else in order to keep it. It's a great way to learn just a little about each other.
