ANNANOVA (http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_637752.html?menu=news.weirdworld.sexlife) - A woman fired after boasting of being tied to a four-poster bed by her boyfriend at a staff training course has been awarded nearly £5,000 in compensation for unfair dismissal.
Lesley Groves, 41, of Tunbridge Wells in Kent, told colleagues at PPP Healthcare about the sex session and they complained to company bosses. She was sacked in May last year.
Mrs Groves told an employment tribunal at Ashford in Kent that her comment was "a joke" as other workmates were also talking about their sexual exploits.
The former customer care executive and mother-of-one broke down in tears as she told the tribunal that national press coverage of the earlier hearing forced her to leave a job she found after the sacking.
Mrs Groves said: "I find that I am recognised in Tunbridge Wells and as a result I feel that it is necessary for me to look for a job in London. I feel that my reputation has been greatly tarnished."
In tears, she continued: "I still feel I have an extreme lack of confidence and would find it difficult to trust any employer after what has happened to me. I will find it very difficult to get things back to normal.First of all, why were they discussing their sexual exploits in a staff meeting? I have to sit through stories of 'the cute thing my child did' conversations.
If she has such extreme lack of confidence, why was she announcing her sexual activities in public? This just reeks of quick cash scheme.
How personal do you get with your co-workers? Do you divulge 'private moments' to them? Do they to you?
