I ran across a record of one of my neighbors at work. Not that I knew who they were. I only recognized the address. I couldn't tell you any of my neighbors names and only speak to a few in passing. Sad considering I grew up having weekly block parties. Now the only time I 'socialize' with my neighbors are when we're having an earthquake or a big car crash.

What about you?

1. How many neighbors do you know by name?
2. How often do you talk you your neighbors?
3. Do you socialize with them?

I have six neighbors around my house. I know all there names; first and last name. I speak with about two of the households. Most of them are very nice, but neighbors can be very aggravating. The guy across the street only wants to walk across to converse when there is something going on, such as a visiter. Its like he is just being nosey! On the most part, he watches the house when I am gone and watches out for my son. I guess there is bad with the good.

Diva, in Georgia, we are able to look up all the sex offenders on the net by city. I have one about two blocks away that I didn't know was there. Do you have this available to you? You may want to check. (He's on parole for child molestation.)

We used to be friendly with all our neighbours, especially, when the girls were younger. Slowly we have fallen out with all of them over stupid things.

Personally, I prefer to keep to my self, and I am not interested in them. Basically, we get no hassle from them, except their cats eat all the birds in our garden. I tried to sue them for murder.

I know and speak to just everyone in town, with the exception of one, bug eyed shit maggot. However, I don't really care to talk to but a few of them.

There is roughly 50 people that live out here, I've been here for 12 years. I am on a first name basis with everyone here, even if I don't care for them.

I know some of my neighbours, talk to them occasionally but never really socialize with them. We have a saying: 'it's better to have a good neighbour than a far friend'. Mmm, does this mean Internet forums suck?
