Being in the work force since thirteen, I've accumilated my share of odd jobs and/tasks. Some were interesting experiences, some I'd never do again.

The first job that comes to mind is as a 976 operator. Nothing live, mind you. But interesting just the same. For those of you not familiar with 976 numbers *cough* as if *cough*, it's a number that charges some outrageous amount to listen to some chick talk sexy. That's putting it mildly. Hey, 25 bucks for 15 minutes was just what this college gal ordered!

What about you? What was the oddest job or task that you have done?

My first job was a paperboy - getting up at 6am every morning to deliver newspapers. I learned to curse the Sunday Times for weighing approximately a metric ton yet simultaneously being devoid of worthwhile content.

When I was about 5 or 6 I tried to sell my artwork door to door. I drew a nickel on the paper for the price of them. lol. I didn't know how to spell back then either.

Flipped burgers at a Hardees.. yuck!!! Oh yeah, during summer break I tried to do production work at a sock factory. I lasted a day and half...

I don't know if this counts or not. My brother said he'd pay me 5 bucks to 'herd' the bull into it's corral every day. Being 6 and gullible I said sure. 5 bucks was a lot of money to a kid. He hands me a red shirt and says that the bull 'likes' red and will follow me in. I never ran so fast in my life! I think my brother's still grounded. Plus I got 5 bucks from him every week for quite a few years. :cheesy:

Thanks! My shorts didn't. :D

Great idea for a last job, though!
