Yep. I totally did it. I made a thread about the Sims.

I still just have the Sims 2--not sure if I'm really interested in 3. There was a huge leap from the original to 2, so of course I snapped it up like a greedy little monster, but 3 basically seemed to be 2 all over again, so I lulzed and said, "Mmm, nope, not enough new features."

Any way, my family began with:------------~~~

NELLA HIGHWIND

She joined the military career track and married the townie KENNEDY COX. Together, they had a son, LINCOLN HIGHWIND, and a daughter, KELLY COX. Then Kennedy and Nella died.

Lincoln went on to marry a townie named Marisa (..I think she was the food delivery lady), and together, they adopted a son, CLINTON HIGHWIND (I think..).

Kelly remained at home and helped to raise Clinton. Marisa decided to go outside and stargaze, only to be smashed by a satellite--because she was worthless. Clinton grew up and moved out. Kelly fell in love with the male maid, married him, and got pregnant.

Then she booted her husband out. Her brother, Lincoln, remarried to another female townie (I also forget the name). Lincoln died of old age, and Kelly married his widow--after I went to the lot where I sent Kelly's husband and killed him.

So now Kelly is pregnant with her dead ex-husband's baby and she's married to her brother's widow. Sexy.

Mine all died in a tragic Death Room "accident"

It was sad....

It's funny, I will start a couple and them move on. I've actually never done a generation. Hell... I've never even had a marriage, although I'd still love to. I have a few that I go back to a lot but I enjoy starting up new ones. I created a whole Goth-type hood and a Preppie-type. All the sims were downloaded from a few sites I would go to as well as the houses. I haven't played it in a bit because of my obsession with the XB360 games, but it's one of those games I will find myself playing over and over too. :D

I don't think I'm going to jump into Sims3 for a while. Especially not if they expect online access. That's just too intrusive and I don't want to have the ads changing. I am curious about the single hood and being able to just walk about, but not enough to give up my custom content, seasons and all the other goodies Sims 2 has.

I have done two generations, and boy was it a pain in the butt. LOL I did have a lot of fun with it too, though.....built a nice little graveyard and mausoleum for everyone to R.I.P. The neighborhood stopped loading correctly after a while and I had to ditch it.

I do have a new one, but I haven't gotten very far with it yet. I created a normal neighborhood and our oldest daughter and I kinda started a bad neighborhood kind of thing, but there's not a lot to decorate it with. LOL If I knew enough about the programs and such, I might try my hand at creating some of my own things, but right now I'm not able to do that.

Not really interested in Sims 3 myself at this point. Have to see more about it first and let it develop a bit more.

I've been playing for so long...and I do about the same as Diva..I LOVE building the houses and people. But generally get bored with one lot/character and move on to another. I don't really have any stories to them..guess it just depends on what kind of mood I'm in when I play!

I AM excited about the Sims3 though...I wants it :)
