View Full Version : Thanks for Calling!

It's amazing how some people are just too busy to respond to emails or voicemail messages... until you include their boss. I've been trying to get in contact with this one supervisor for a week. Every time I call they ask for my name and either send me to some random number that never goes to message or to the supervisor's number. It's like I might as well not leave a message. Yesterday I emailed this person and CC'd our boss about trying to get in contact with her. Within SECONDS she replied, asking for me to call her. The last time I spoke to her I got attitude. LOTS of attitude. She was next to no help and I wasn't looking forward to this session. After seeing that our boss was involved she practically bent over and assumed the position. Because I'm not the snarky bitch that she is, I passed on the offer and pleasantly discussed the issue at hand. It's great that I was finally able to get a little support, but it sucked that I had to include my boss in the debacle. I'd rather she think I was able to work around the issue and send her a simple 'job done!' email. But that would mean the people I contacted would be nice... instead of raving bitches.

It is amazing how many adults haven't got a clue about the basics of responsibility OR of civilized behavior.

Paul tells us in I Corinthians, 13-11:

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Few so-called "responsible adults" these days can even put away childish things while in the workplace— namely: PETTINESS. EGO. VANITY.

Odessa, do you have days when you imagine how much could be accomplished if adults could lay aside childish things and work collectively for a greater thing than "self?"

Every day, sweets, every day. I'm just so overwhelmed by these people. I have one guy who is over me title wise and tries to get out of doing anything. Then there are the people with attitudes (like the one above). She wasn't even here today and her 'assistant' started giving me lip also. I had to fight the urge to just blast her to pieces. We're all here for the same reason. I just don't see why they don't get it.

HI EDDIE!!

Right on. I can never understand people & how they never seem to think of how much nicer things could be if they skipped the bullshit & were real with each other. Yeah, right. I stand & applaud.

GOOD rant!
