When I asked the Verizon guy what I should do while they were testing the DSL lines he said, "Read a book" and snickered. After holding back the hell I was about to unleash on him I said, "I meant should I be doing anything such as turning the modem off, etc... " After his face melted from my icy response he said no that I'd just have to wait. Fucker. Today Unfy suggested the same thing. *looks at carnage that was once Unfy* So yeah... what do you do when there's no internet *sobs* and you need to find something cheap to do. Of all the choices please choose which one you do MORE of.

I read books.

Currently, that is how I started reading "Neverwhere" by Neil Gaiman.
Our cable was broken for a month. And we were getting hit & miss signals. So, finally they drilled a hole in the wall outside our apartment and fed a new cable from the ground up onto the wall into our place. It looks ghetto, and the cable is hidden only by landscaped rocks on the ground. As it feeds up into my apartment you see a white cable on brown stucco.

But, we have our cable back.
