Alrighty! I am about to unleash hell on everyone that is my updated board. You wanted it, you got it. For those who don't like the darker color I will work on a lighter one for you. Meanwhile... Check out your profiles for all the new goodies!

Let me know what problems you find in THIS thread so that I may address them. Enjoy!

Welcome to the New NCT board. I know I should have posted this yesterday... but I was too tired. I still am working on it.

Toolbar buttons

Under MEMBERS ONLY button:
ONLY Members with a certain post count will have access to this option


NCT Gallery: Both the Members Gallery and Main NCT Gallery are listed here.
Arcade: This is the newest feature to hit NCT. Here's the place to play the arcade games, challenge eachother to matches and waste your day away have a great time. There will be more games added so check back frequently.
Memberslist: Complete list of all NCTers, past and present.
Calendar: It's... the calendar.
Chat: Java Chat for those who don't have an IRC client thingy.



Search: The search drop down is a great way to look for things. It has an advanced button if you cant find it.

User Links (formally Shortcut): MANY new options. Daily Threads is now linked here. It takes you directly to new options in your profile. It is also where the Spellchecker is. Now you can find the correct spelling, or converstion list, at the click of a button.

Homepage: I have a new front page look. Check it out when you have the chance!


User Panel/Profile

Profile Gallery: Now you can add pictures directly to your profile.

Comment Box: Leave comments for your friends. Think of it as a guestbook.

Add Friends: Takes the place of the Buddy List and is a quick way to visit profiles.

Social Groups: Kinda lame but has potential for hilarity.

Edit Options: There's a new area to choose your text color. Scroll down to User Font Color Options. No "#" needed. Below that is Miscellaneous Options. This is where you can pick you text editor device. It's a great new feature. I would suggest choosing the Enhanced Interface first. Then when you click to reply (not quick reply) or start a new thread you will be given many new options. Please play with them, you'll love it.

Edit Profile: Please take a moment to go here and re-select your flag. I have much nicer ones! :) This is also where your custom title is on the bottom.

Edit Profile Picture: This is a place for you to place a picture (no larger than 240/240). When you click on my profile you will see what I mean. If you have a picture that needs to be resized... please contact me and I will do that for you.

There are other areas listed for you to browse through also.


General Functions

Tags: Yeppers... Now you can put tags on your threads (see the bottom of the thread). This makes it easier to find when looking for relevant threads. If you decide to use a word often that is less than three characters please shoot me a PM so I can add it to the list of searchable words. Right now the search word limit is four so the server won't fall to it's knees.

Thank You Button: In each post there is a http://www.nochicktrix.com/forum/images/bluefox/buttons/post_thanks.gif button. Now you can thank individual people for making posts that you really enjoy. You will also have a number of total of posts you have thanked and posts people have thanked you for under Statistics.

Karma: I'm holding my breath on this one. Someone make your day with a post? Click on the http://www.nochicktrix.com/forum/images/bluefox/buttons/reputation.gif button. Someone piss you off? Click on the Karma button. Any abuse (this means YOU, Fosul) and it will be yanked. Enjoy!

Minimize Feature: On the sides of sections you will see http://www.nochicktrix.com/forum/images/bluefox/buttons/collapse_tcat.gif. You can click on it to open and close sections of the board. It's really handy.

Teasers: You may have already noticed the pop up that happens when your curser goes over a thread. The first post text 'pops up' to show you what it's about.

Username in Post: Instead of icons for homepage, PMs, etc... you simply click on a members name and it gives you a drop down with a list of options.




Ther are lots of more new things to play with, so look around and have some fun! If you have any questions, please dont hesitate to contact me. There is also a thread for any errors that you find. PLEASE tell me and give me any specifics so that I may fix it.

Yes, I like the look, it's brilliant. The only thing I miss is the old logo.

Attachments opens up the picture, that's a nice feature that will save tabs. :)

Suddeny I got a PM that I hadn't noticed before. So something my be working well with the design of the User Control Panel (and that's why I didn't reply, Bass, sorry).

Easy to find New Posts and stuff. That's always nice. Over all, it's always nice with change, and the theme is logical and easy-to-use.

I'm also messing around a bit with the fonts to see how it looks.

I think it looks smashing. The setup of functions like edit and stuff is purposeful, and things are quite easy to find. This is important and excellent.

Multiquote is great! I also enjoy the blueish text in the input field.

i was gone while change happened--and admit first time i clicked in i was confused--but is growing on me-- still seems a little dark--but overall the avatars are very easily seen, the words are easy to read-and before hadn't read your extra hints and the way to navigate is different than before (of course) but i didn't have a problem finding what i wanted-- so overll give it a b+ for now-- but as i said it is growing on me and like anything that you have used for many years in the same style there is initial resistance to the change--

There is a way to make the text larger in your browser (look under the "View" menu). You could click and drag your cursor over the text to highlight it and make it easier to read until you can find a better solution or diva changes the text colour (I can see it fine but I understand how if your eyesight wasn't the best you would have trouble).

If you are running Internet Explorer you can zoom up any webpage by clicking on the "Magnifying glass" in the bottom right corner of your web browser. Then just select the viewing size percentage.

I just added TAGS to the list of things the forum now has. You can add tags to your threads which makes it easier to find when searching for information later on. If you find a word with three characters or less that you use a lot (like MOO for Iso) then just let me know so I can add it to the list of searchable words. Otherwise the character limit is four for searching words.

I just went into the Gallery to test this condition and you are correct. For the time being there is only the ability to add a single image at a time via the Gallery. However, if you choose to use the Albums via your Profile you can upload up to eight at a time IIRC. (For example you can check out the albums in my profile to see how they can be set up.) The only catch to that is you can have only 50 images in each album. But the number of albums seems to be unlimited.

Thank you, Iso! I'll check what's up with the Gallery. I know there have been some problems with uploading too many at once, but I can't remember what the max was before it pitched a fit.

This has only been a problem on images that don't fit the file or resolution restrictions for me. If they are within the restrictions I haven't had any problem doing the Maximum. However, such as on the remodel images I posted the original (HUGE) ones and the site resized them etc. And I could only do a max of 4 at a time. Hope that narrows it down for ya a bit.

I duplicated it. went to bassmamas pictures, posted a comment (no fancy stuff, just typed in something, nothing else) then once it was posted I clicked on the edit button and bingo, the same problem.

okay it isn't so much a problem of not being able to change the colors as the editor has the color selection box. It just doesn't seem to wanna load the colors. However I just went to heavens angels gallery and chose one of my comments to her, and changed it using the BBCode within the message and so it accepts color editing. Just the editor's selection box is flaking out.

yeah, I can make the grey part of the buttons in the editors box appear by dragging my cursor over them, but can't get every part of the box to appear. If I click on the colour change button no choices appear. I haven't really tried the other buttons.
