Is "Stud-Muffin" Really A Compliment?
I can't believe I made it to Friday without killing anybody. Of course, the day isn't over with yet. I'll be so glad to get the new design up and running. It's going to make things a lot smoother for me. It's funny how something like designing a web page can be such an ordeal. When I first decided to take the plunge, I basically told Bane to just make it look good. That's when he informed me that it was just a tad more involved. What colors do you want? Do you have some sort of design in mind? How do you want the page set up, Bla, bla, bla... The next thing I know he's pulling his hair out and I'm saying, "It's just too powdery blue" to every color he proposes. Did you know that there are a gazillion color blues out there? Too powdery, too purple, too dark, too gray, too grayish purplish blue. Then I hit him with the bane [Heh] of his existence... The squiggly thing. I wanted a squiggly thing on the top of the different sections, etc. We searched everywhere for the right one. I have so many damn squiggly lines I could start a doodle site. Just kidding, Bane. Heh.
I hear a lot of sad stories in my line of work. The worst part is when you just know this person was stuck with a lousy doctor who misdiagnosed the patient to save some money. People trust doctors like they are G-d. I've gotten people who called for some medical advice. When I suggested that they contact their doctor, the response is always the same: "Oh, I don't want to bother him." They'd rather get advice pertaining to their health from complete strangers than bother their doctor. Call your doctor, damn it! Hell, I abuse the hell out of my doctor....
