And two steps back. It just kills me that there's a measure on the ballot to ban gay marriage in California. I've always prided myself in living in a forward thinking state. Oh sure, there's always going to be pockets of bible thumpers. But for the most part this is a liberal state. So why is there a ballot to take away the rights of citizens based on their sexual preference? How did they get enough votes to even put that shit on the books? It puzzles me and infuriates me. I don't give a flying fuck how you 'feel' about gays or gay marriage. This isn't some sort of therapy session. It's about rights. Who are we to say what is 'morally right'? Who are we to judge others? I am angry that this measure is even there. It's like a dirty little secret that was whispered to me. I just want to stick my fingers in my ears and hope that it goes away. That is... after I vote NO ON 8. Say it with me:
