I got sick and tired of all the spammers so I blocked a bunch of emails. Instead of 20 to 30 I got three last night... so I worked. I also got a call early this morning from a VERY uptight RN who I will be working with. Needless to say I am late and this is basically your rant. Blah.

I have often wished that every item of spam email I receive would pop out of the base of my monitor as cans of SPAM®.
A wish that my friend, Kanela, shares with me. She is of Japanese heritage and was born in Hawaii. As she put it, her birthday is 5/25/60, and as Hawaii became a state on 8/21/59, she believes her conception was the result of lively Statehood Celebration merry-making!!! LOL

Kanela taught me that, although Hawaii ranks a low 42nd in US population charts, the 50th state is by far the largest consumer of SPAM in the nation! SPAM and rice, SPAM and rice, SPAM and rice, every day, back home she says.

SPAM was introduced to Islanders all over the Pacific by US soldiers during WWII, and its popularity there continues.

It is even a specialty menu item at fast-food franchises-- only in Hawaii -- Burger King, McDonald's, et al.

Yeah, Eddie, have you ever heard of Spam Moco (also Loco Moco)? Most disgusting farking thing I've ever seen in my life, and they sell it right up the street. It's sliced Spam served over two eggs, white rice, and coated in brown gravy. :barf:

Brown gravy? On SPAM??? Must be one of those deranged-yankee kind of dishes. Do they serve it with white wine— or is that only in Connecticut? Here in the South we would put white sausage gravy on it, and use grits instead of rice.
