I think I have a sty in my eye....it's all swollen up (i can still open it but the swelling is noticable) and slightly pink and kinda itches once in a while. Keith says its probably a sty because if it were an allergic reaction to something it woulda gone away after two days (i first noticed it saturday night) - so work is no fun because I'm afraid to look anyone straight in the eyes and have them notice it and ask me whats wrong with it....

anyone ever had a sty in their eye? im using warm water on a cloth a few times aday, but does anyone have any better advice?

Docs can prescribe a steroidal ointment that helps. Can't remember the name.

My dad gets them. He just suffers through them till they go away. I don't know if it's cause he's tough or if there is just nothing else to do.

A warm tea bag and it will go away in about a day.. Works like a charm and helps with the itching and swelling

You sure it's not Pink Eye?? Your symptoms sound more like that than a Sty.

Based on visual inspection, I confirm my earlier diagnosis and treatment. Immediate and complete remove of both eyes (just to be sure) is needed, and I'm willing to perform the procedure. Please come to Detroit for a double de-ocular-ization immediately.

BTW, my doc says it is a sty, but by the time I saw her (yesterday), it has already started going away, there's no more swelling, just a hard tiny bump that is shrinking day by day
