So, tonight in class I learned what label there is for the way I think. I can't remember if I posted a thread like this before. And if so, I'm sorry. I am amused that my results have altered a little since last year when I took this test.

I love learning how people's minds work.

My results are: ESFP (http://typelogic.com/esfp.html) (Extraverted Sensing Feeling Percieving)

Meaning -- "Where's the party?" ESFPs love people, excitement, telling stories and having fun. The spontaneous, impulsive nature of this type is almost always entertaining. And ESFPs love to entertain -- on stage, at work, and/or at home. Social gatherings are an energy boost to these "people" people.

More details about me are here (http://www.personalitypage.com/ESFP.html).

What about you all? How does your brain work?

I took the Myers-Briggs for a Career Planning class and had a lot of fun. Sure, it was purely an exercise in navel-gazing, but they linked those results to several other assessments and the results were interesting.

Anyway, I'm an ENTP (http://www.personalitypage.com/ENTP.html).

As an ENTP, your primary mode of living is focused externally, where you take things in primarily via your intuition. Your secondary mode is internal, where you deal with things rationally and logically.

With Extraverted Intuition dominating their personality, the ENTP's primary interest in life is understanding the world that they live in. They are constantly absorbing ideas and images about the situations they are presented in their lives. Using their intuition to process this information, they are usually extremely quick and accurate in their ability to size up a situation. With the exception of their ENFP cousin, the ENTP has a deeper understanding of their environment than any of the other types.

This ability to intuitively understand people and situations puts the ENTP at a distinct advantage in their lives. They generally understand things quickly and with great depth. Accordingly, they are quite flexible and adapt well to a wide range of tasks. They are good at most anything that interests them. As they grow and further develop their intuitive abilities and insights, they become very aware of possibilities, and this makes them quite resourceful when solving problems.

Whenever I see these tests, I can't help thinking of a scene in Northern Exposure...can't recall the episode, but basically Cosmic Chris and his half-brother are having a collective dream in which they're both in a truck chasing their father, and Jung is at the wheel, saying, "Gentlemen, I have no idea what this means, but I do know one thing - I cannot drive!" at which point they all start screaming and the dream ends.
