Some of us believe crazy shit when it comes to our government.
Some of us don't even care.
Some of us hate those who believe crazy shit about our government.

What's some crazy shit about the government that you believe, regardless of how steadfastly you believe it?

I'm convinced that a lot of "terror" cases post-9/11 were largely fabricated and pinned on patsies to justify all the hullabaloo about needing a Department for Homeland Security, Patriot Act, etc - as well as additional funding for intelligence agencies who have continued not to do a motherfucking thing to keep us safe short of not allowing mouthwash on a plane.

There are departments that may be, or have people that do some or believe they are doing some good. The actual idea of DHS as an agency that forces all the other acronym agencies to work together, as well as handing out money that encourages other agencies to talk and share information is a good one. However, the way it is usually handled is one clusterfuck after the other. Throw in using fear to get certain laws passed that really shouldn't have, and you have a crappy combination.

Edit: problem with law is that it assumes that the people passing as well as the people caring it out are genially concerned, honest and law abiding people, which usually doesn't reflect the reality. On the other hand, it's impossible to pass a law that assumes that the person in charge of enforcing it it a crook. Intention's good, but we all know about good intentions.

I believe that yes there are aliens in Area 51. I also believe that global warming exists only for political purposes.
