Unforgiven

That's what this guy (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7174760.stm) did, and guess what happened?
At least the people that did it obviously did it more to prove a point, and not maliciously, or he could have been significantly more impacted.
I think that's absolutely awesome. For someone to scoff about the dangers of identity theft and brush off the loss of personal data is beyond me.
I was one of the people impacted when a person broke into a patient records computer numerous times. Now I have to put holds on my account (they only do so for thirty days at a time) and have random credit checks to make sure my information isn't being used.
It serves him right and I'm glad they made it so his money went to a worthy cause. It could have been worse. MUCH worse.
When the term "0wn3d" is added to the dictionary, his name will be the first entry.

HAHAH! I LOVE it! I'd love to find out who did it to him & buy him a coffee!
I love the columnist's picture that they posted- he has the perfect "I'm SUCH an asshole" expression.
My mom banks with Bank of America and somehow some guy in Indiana has been writing checks (in his name) and they actually cleared on my mom's account. When she went to Wal-Mart and tried to use her debit card, it was refused and she found out she was $1,600 overdrawn, and had 7 bounced check fees. Checks for $1,600, $1,400, and other miscellaneous ones anywhere from $5 to $500 were written, not even in her name, but people named "Manuel and Sylvia Alvarez."
I don't get how this guy did it, or why the checks even cleared if they weren't in her name...The bank has put a fraud lockdown on the account, but there's no guarantee she'll get her money back. Assholes.
