What Doesn't Kill You... Makes You Grow Stronger
The last two days have been a blur. So much pain. So much anger. So much death and destruction. My heart goes out to all of those who lost loved ones in one of the darkest days of mankind. We have a chance to make things right. To ban together and annihilate these fuckers off of the face of this Earth. You know when world leaders get together, some of which are not allies, something serious is going down. Every last one of them. Remove them from this Earth. Don't you dare blame my country. Or any other country, for that matter. The hate that pumps through the veins of their black hearts was fed to them from birth. No civilized country told them to use helpless victims for a dramatic effect. When those Me... anim... MONSTERS boarded that plane and glanced around... They were looking at the faces of men, women and children. Yet all they saw was 'a nice touch' to killing even more innocent people. People they have never met. People who have never done a thing to them. Yet they were nothing. Just decoration. To those of you who do not believe in this move, post in the forum what you think would be appropriate. Be prepared to feel the same intense attack that we have felt on our country. Why do I take this stance? I was in a grocery store waiting in the checkout line. A small girl pointed to a newspaper clipping and asked her mommy what happened to the people on the planes. The mother tried to tell her that they were taken to heaven, away from the bad guys who took their lives. This kid looked straight into her mother's eyes and asked her, "But why, mommie. Why did they take all of those peoples' souls?" You could have heard a pin drop. We all stood there, the tears that were pooling in our eyes as we walked aimlessly through the store now ran down our faces. For a second, just a second... it seemed like we were waiting for the answer, too. Then the mother said, "I don't know, honey. No body really knows." I left. As I stood by my car, trying to remember how to open the door, I glanced around. Apparently several people had forgotten. Our country was wounded deep in the soul. Everyone I look at has the same blank [what the hell should I be doing] look. Tear stains down their cheeks, Tears in their eyes. I have cried so damn much my tears are on layaway.

I would like to say a special message to all of the military men [and women] readers, as well as in general. You are the ones who hold our country together. You fight for my right to have freedom and you fight to keep it that way. When there are people unable to fight for themselves in a foreign country, you step in and protect them, too. These are going to be a time of war unlike any other war. You will not only be fighting for our Country... You will be fighting for humanity. To those of you that will be called into duty, we will be beside you in spirit. I can not tell you the pride and support that I have for you. You are my heroes. When you stand solid in your uniform, laying down your life for our country, and for me... I can only say that I salute you. Thank you. Thank you for being my hero.

Just looking at this in the archives a moment ago, I kept thinking, "Was this really just over three years ago?" It feels like a millennia has passed. I can remember crying as Al-Shehhi piloted 175 into the second tower. Now you can't helping wondering, "Just where did all that goodwill go to?" whenever the pictures appear. What a tragic waste of political capital.

The worst part is that the terrorists did a damn good job of destroying America.

Every flood needs something to break the dam.

The current administration is the guilty party, I agree, but they need that excuse, that pure fear of some nameless, omni-present threat to scare the public into supporting them. Without it, they wouldn't have been able to pull off the Iraqi Invasion, the continued War On Freedom, the further development of nuclear weapons, and whatever else.

It was the first match to their fire.
