With the writer's strikes in effect, it looks like television's going to get hit the hardest. Despite Jon Stewart's valiant efforts to keep the show up for a bit (he's paying his writers out of his own pocket for two weeks, let's see any of these other greedy bastards ante up with something like that), Daily Show will be out of commission, as will a few others.
Understandably, people will be bummed out. But it's not the end of the world for Joe and Jane America. It really, really, really sucks for the writers more than anything else, but inevitably some waterhead will start moaning about their tee-vee.
That being said, who do you know that's addicted to something, whether it's digital or organic?
Do you think it's healthy for them?
What would you have them do in place of this addiction if they had to kick it?
