I think I might be completely numb when it comes to this administration saying anything that might not be true. I don't think I even consider it to be real anymore. Same here. I don't even pay attention in the least anymore, because it'll be so full of lies as to make it impossible to tell the difference anyway. Fuck them.

Great stuff and beautifully delivered, although I must admit to disliking that reference to "true patriotism" at the end - that'sjust playing the Republicans at their own game, and whatever truth there is in it, no good can come of that strategy.

Any John Pilger fans here? For a true alternative view there aren't many better campaigning journalists - I sometimes feel very right-wing reading him, but he's the most refreshing of any of the columnists I read from week to week, and anyone who receives death threats for making award-winning documentaries and carries on has to be worth his salt.
