Feeling Robbed

If someone gives you something that you really want for example a ring or something of that nature. Do they have the right to wait till you are very close to it and then while your back is turned (at work or what ever) give it to someone else to tear apart and destroy with out even discussing it with you first or giving you any warning? Is it right they should then tell you well I never liked it anyway? Do you have a right to be hurt and angry about it? Is it reasonable to feel a loss?

heck that is about the tackiest thing I have heard of if you give a gift then it is just that a gift especially something personal and loved. Taking it back and destroying it is the act of someone who never cared for you in the first place aussie think twice before you accept the next gift from them and forget them as a friend.
