Found: 116 Pounds Of Marijuana

(AP (http://cbs2.com/water/StoryFolder/story_188664235_html)) -- A couple found 116 pounds of marijuana worth more than $250,000 near a wooded area by their home, the sheriff's office said.

Frederick County Sheriff Robert T. Williamson said his best guess is that the pot was dropped out of an airplane Friday.

The packages, neatly wrapped in plastic and labeled by weight in kilograms, were scattered over a 50-foot area, authorities said.

Williamson said the unexpected bundles are not as uncommon as one would imagine. He recalled at least two occasions in the past 10 years when marijuana literally showed up on someone's lawn.

"I don't think it was ever this much, but it was baled," he said.

Unlike the money in the bank, this one is untraceable. If you stumbled across this would you call authorities... Or keep it and sell it?

Firstly, take it to the police because it is the right thing to do. Secondly, take it to the police because it is the smartest thing to do. There is always a chance that one day the 'real' owners of the dope would show up and I don't think they would be impressed if you had flogged their stuff.

I'd turn it in. No sense in getting involved in a business I wouldn't understand. Plus, I'd be the cop busting myself. Imagine the arrest report!

I'd take what's considered personal. And still considered a misdemeanor charge. Then stash it, for the authorities to find it. I wouldn't want to be the one turning in that much dope, and screw the authorities. They'd probably just interrigate the hell out of me and lock me up. Then the real owners of the dope would be after my ass too if I ever got out.

I did that once, boy the kitchen was so smokie. We dried some after the first batch was too leif(y). I didn't know that broil meant "catch that pot on fire" dagum I hated getting in trouble.
