1. song/movie/book:Girl Interrupted (the movie) or Prozac Nation (the book)
2. person: Sean...:)
3. place: Hamilton...haha
4. event: breaking up with my second boyfriend...that changed me
5. self indulgence: CANDY CANDY CANDY.....if i didnt have candy i would probably be like 20 lbs thinner and have healthier teeth haha
1. song: Hunger Strike - Temple of the Dog. Reminds me of hanging out with Shannon. As much of a fucking dopeheaded loser as he ended up being, he did his part to shape the hipster side of my life.
movie: The Outlaw Josey Wales. I'll never forget the first time I watched it with my granddad. When it was over, I begged him to put it on again, and he did, even though he was snoring five minutes into the second round. I was fucking enthralled.
book: Might be cliched, but Charles Bukowski's "Tales of a Dirty Old Man". Nobody ever made beauty out of sleaze like this guy did.
2. person: My granddad. Showed me tons of badass old movies, taught me how to shoot, fish, farm, box, and everything else under the sun. I owe him everything and miss him like crazy.
3. place: The southeastern U.S. - From Texas to Louisiana to Arkansas/Oklahoma/Mississippi/etc., the whole place can go from retarded to awesome in 0.15 seconds. Kind of like me.
4. event: My granddad dying, as outlined in a previous thread.
5. self indulgence: Cooking, beer. Cooking because it brings out all the stuff that my grandma taught me...experimenting with different cultures, being open-minded to different dishes, etc. - that sorta carried over to my personal life and as a result I'm pretty goddamn progressive. Beer, because it tastes great and can be as versatile as wine, but still has roots as a working man's drink. Kinda fitting.

1. song/movie/book:
Ishmael. Kind of cliche, but it taught me to question things at a more fundamental level than before.
2. person:
There's a few of them. I think I'd prefer not to go into it here.
3. place:
Probably Kent. Or home. Not having a home would probably change me.
4. event:
Couple of these, too. Same as "person".
5. self indulgence:
Not really sure, to be honest. Time alone, maybe.
