Unfy and I were talking the other week about school and mentioned that it would be interesting to see what kind of formal education the fellow NCTers had. So... Now's yer chance!

I've got an MA, but I sometimes wonder if it wasn't in the wrong subject. Formal education is nowhere near as important as self-education anyway, people are far too hung up on these things: the smartest people I know (I'm thinking of hollow here, who some of you will know) have very few formal qualifications even in their areas of expertise.

I have a Master in Special Education. I took it mostly for myself - as stange as it might sound I actully enjoyed being a student.

My job would only have required me to have a 2 year degree from a community college so it that sense it was a bit wasted..

I left school in the 9th grade because I had to work . I'm very embarrassed by my lack of education. Almost everything I know I taught myself.

I am working for a KINHBA...which means Kinesiology Honours Bachelor of Arts...but I like saying kinhba...more fun that way...haha..

but yeah a lot of my education is self-education where I read random books about medical science or history or psychology or whatever and research on the internet...

after I am done with the KINHBA I will probably go get a diploma in massage therapy and become a RMT...

Yep amaurote hit the ail on the head, or at least I'd rather be doing that.

Convocation is just graduation, I get to listen to some guy I don't know get an honourary degree and get a piece of over priced paper that says i'm edjamacated...... I'm happy to graduate, not happy to have to sit through the ceremony.

Heh. I always figured I just wouldn't go. I couldn't are any less about some stupid ceremony, I'm just there for a paper.

I couldn't care less about my classes at this point. I too am in it only for the piece of paper. It's annoying how many times I've heard, "your resume looks great - now where was it you got your degree?"

Well, don't get me wrong - I'm there to learn as well. And I do. But few people ask about that. I could learn on my own anyway. I can't make my own degree. Well, I could, but I think you need a degree to do it :D
