RARGH OBLIVION

Okay. I normally don't care for extensive role-playing games. The Final Fantasy series is usually as far as I've cared to dabble in remotely deep RPGs, but I'm fucking gaga for Oblivion (http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/oblivion_overview.htm). It's such a good game, plays like a dream on the X360, and...man. I've never felt so satisfied with a role-playing-game save for my beloved Fallout I and II (http://www.nma-fallout.com/).

Now that that's out of the way, what's your latest obsession and why?

Now Jake, you of all people should know that real men don't play RPGs online or on a PC, they use pencil and paper and rent the playing space out from their mother's basement. I refuse to accept that anything with a graphical interface is a proper RPG.

My latest obsession is much more prosaic: buying, framing and nailing posters up in my house - at the price of £50 a go (Polish theatre art for the most part) it's taken me a while, but my house now boasts even more serial killer chic than Poseidon's.

I suppose I'd have to say my latest obsession is my fingernails. I had acrylics put on about a month ago, and I've been obsessed over them ever since. Getting them repainted and fixed and all that. It's getting out-of-hand. I had decided to remove them, so I cut two of them off, and now I'm pouty. I honestly didn't realize just how much better my hands look WITH nails than without. *sigh*

Waiting for weather warm enough to paint with the windows open, (so the birds, cats, & I don't have to breathe the fumes!), & I can go outside & get the boat worked on & ready for fishing.

I personally love obssessing about things. I think it just allows you to enjoy whatever it is more.

JakeD: Oblivion is cool, but I'll never pay for expansion packs. Let me know if you ever get into Lost Planet or Gears of War, I'll be more than happy to chainsaw your digital ass anytime.

Currently I too am obsessing over an amazing girl, it's awesome... On second thought Jake, I might not be online for a while :)

I was into GoW, but just ended up beating the campaign and trading it in WITHOUT EVER THINKING ABOUT CO-OP/MULTIPLAYER. That being said, I'll still take your gamer ID. Mine's ragingtexan. Haven't touched Lost Planet yet, but plan on it as soon as I get caught up with everything else.

Otherwise, at least good luck with the girl! :P
