Double snow day? WTF!!! haha...seriously I wanted to go to school today and it's canceled just like I wanted to go to school yesterday and it's canceled.

The dark thing at the bottom is the top of our little crap patio table. If there was a fire in the front of our apartment and we had to leave through the back we would be stuck in snow.

Yay...boo...I miss school (yes I am a nerd).

At least I forced Sean to come over today :)

I was going to post photos from today, but they're not nearly as bad. Fucking Canadians.

You're so lucky. I'd love to have some real snow. Looking at those pictures makes me so envious. I wish seasons existed for real in England rather than this dull dipping of the temperature and the feeling it's enough.

I was going to post a few, too. We have roughly 11 inches right now, and it's still snowing. Some roads are closed, and work was actually canceled. When I call in, they said they were in the process of calling people to let them know they were closing for the day. They're about 5 mils from Cayuga Lake, so they get a lot of lake-affect snow. When I was talking to the receptionist, she said that the snow was up past he knees when she got to work.

Wow!

Am I just ridiculously stupid to wish for just a teency bit of snow that sticks on occasion?

I love these photos! It makes me want to run out and hit people with snowballs. I never see any snowmen in these photos. Party poopers...

You try making a snowman in -25 C with windchill weather when there's wind making the snow blow sideways rather than just falling...
:P

haha...

plus it's not good packing snow...and if I made a snowangel I would drown..haha

That's when you turn off your freezer and leave everything on the balcony to keep it cool, keeping valuable power to keep the house warm.

Do you have a nice log fire burning in your home. There's nothing like the crackle of wood and the heat it generates to make it feel homely.

boozer and bass i was in odgenburg ny 4 years ago and the snow at my uncles was 3-4 feet deep but like stars said it wasn't packing snow--tried to snowmobile and couldn't as the snow was too soft and machine dug in and couldn't keep it up--sucked as i wanted to go snowmobiling

That's something you find when snowboarding as well. There's some powder which is in the form of a crust over the powder below so you don't sink to much. In other situations you're leaning back and carving like you would with carving skies and the sensation is awesome. i've only ever done that once as a snowboarder and I loved it.
Most of the time all I get is the loud ice type snow and that's not a nice swooshing sound.

Yeah, this stuff is too dry to make snowmen with or for any kind of fun. Sure is heavy as hell to shovel though! Especially when you get a chunk that's frozen solid!
