I hate when my fish die. I try so hard to keep them healthy and happy. Hey! No snickering. I bought them. They're my responsibility. Having an aquarium (or two) is very calming. I can just sit and listen to the bubbles for hours. Of course, at 3 A.M. when the water in the tank is low, I'm contemplating tossing that sucker out my dining room window. But I digress. You ever notice that it takes twice as long to get a dead fish out of a tank than a living one? It's like they're possessed. It was in my net. I had that sucker. Out comes the net. No dead fish inside. I peer into the tank. There he/she is... floating right where I cant get to. Mocking me. I'm sure it's worse for the other fish.
"Oh G-d. Harry's just lying there. Look at his eyes. His dead eyes..."
"Harriet!"
"AAAAHHHH!!! Don't DO that, Marvin!"
"Just quit looking at him. I'm sure she'll be around to take him out."
"Oh sure, remember last time? She sat through the whole George Clooney movie. She knew. I know she did."
"Who the hell is George Clooney?"
"Oh G-d Marvin, sometimes you are so out of it!... Here she comes!"
"Quick! Hide over here. You know how she gets with that scooper. She's liable to take us with him. Oh, for cripes sake. She missed him again. No he's... he's just bobbing on top. I feel sick.. Raaaaalph!"
Or something like that.

Whatta Ya Mean We Can't Use Drano? He's Sentenced To Die, Isn't He? Well.. That'll Kill Em
The death of a traitor/murderer/(sub)human being. I have no pity for him. Not a drop. I believe in capital punishment and I believe it should be expanded. I'm a democrat. Only because I believe in the people, not big business. Big business wouldn't be squat if it weren't for us "little" guys/gals down below. I also believe that every single person in the House and in the Senate should be fired. They do not represent us. They NEVER represented us. They represent power, wealth, big business. The citizens of the United States of America be damned. Out of that fiendish, diabolical mass of self serving greed grew the seed of hatred. Someone came across that seed and fed it the lies... and the truths, of our system. They created Timothy McVey. But if you think for one second that I put all of the blame on the militia that lives in the paranoia and realism of our country's path, sit down and listen. I love my country. I am proud to be an American. My country, not the individual persons, but a collective unity laid the ground work for a land that offers those who are oppressed a chance of freedom. But, it comes with a price. We are not perfect. We have blood on our hands. Both foreign and homegrown. Innocence lost. Created by both individual people and the power of our Legislative office. In that respect, we are no different than any other country. Want to argue that point? I didn't think so.

April 19th, 1995 168 people lost their lives. Children. Mothers. Grandmothers. They were "enlisted" to stand for the evil that our country has become. But McVey failed. Every life that was snuffed out by hatred of the system became a symbol of hope. How? We came together. This horrible, horrible, despicable act brought people together. Across states lines and race lines. We stood, hand in hand. Holding each other up. The horror that we could not fathom, both the destruction and the death. And that it was one of our own. A United States citizen. Why is that important? Think about it for a moment. One man murders strangers. The other, his family. His family? That's what McVey did. He added a sick twist to an unspeakable act. And when they insert that needle into his arm, and he dies lying comfortably on a gurney, instead of under metal and rubble, the people who did this unspeakable act walk away scot free. Maybe they'll golf with OJ.
