My boss is driving me insane. She puts unattainable deadlines for last minute projects, then changes how she wants them and expects the SAME deadline to be met. Needless to say I am in for an ass chewing today because I couldn't finish shit. On top of all the changes she kept calling me from her meeting. Yeah, because I live for distraction. The icing on the cake was when she asked me to search on the web for a site and tell her what it was about. I started to read off the about section and then added, "Seriously, this is just bullshit. There's nothing that explains what it's about and the site is all over the place." Instead of a gruff response I get a nervous titter. Okaaay... Then I hang up and find out she had called me from a meeting with the heads of the hospital. On speaker phone. I'd remove my appendix right about now if it could keep me from going in today.

Talk to her and explain this to her. Also give her a written complaint. Make copies. I know it won't work. But after she ignores you you have done what you could with her. This is the point where you go to her boss. Everyone has a boss no matter if they are someone else's boss also. Everyone has to answer to someone. You have gone through the chain of command and she is the one who will be getting her ass chewed next.

Part of the responsibility of the boss is project managment, understanding that everything takes a specific amount of time. if the boss doesn't take this into consideration then their bad planning is to be put into question.

Whoever the task is given to is ultimatly responsible for getting the work done. If someone gave her the job then it's up to her to get it done.

How long did she know about the need for that work to be done?
