Ananova (http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_557093.html?menu=news.quirkies) - The search is on for a family of four to live for a week in the shop window of London department store Harrods. Passers-by will be able to stop and watch as the family members go about their daily routine.

People around the world will control what the family eat, wear, and do throughout the day by voting on a website. A temporary "house" will be built in the window of Harrods with four three-sided rooms, and auditions will be held next month for the family.

The family must consist of a mother, father, son and daughter. Whoever is chosen will live within the four rooms of the "house" between 10am in the morning and 7pm at night for six days between May 20 and 25.

The only time the family members can leave during the day is to go to the toilet. As a reward for exposing themselves to scrutiny, they will spend each night in a Knightsbridge hotel and will also be paid for taking part.

At the heart of the experiment is the use of the Internet to allow people to control the lives of the family.

Could you do it? Would you do it? I know a certain Redhead that might.

Hell the internet controls most of my life now so what would be new?

That Lil Redhead that speaks softly and carries a big slap, of course!

Jake darling you wouldn't be "peeing" in public. Now if Jennifer was a few years younger no problem, now at her current age?? I would kill her on the first day!!!

Duh. Who's Jennifer ?

well since my wife nearly lives at Harrods anyway, it would be a holiday to her. I suppose, if you are going to live in anyones window, thats about the smartest.

I hope a family of vagrants, don't spot the advert. they would never leave.

Seriously, why would any normal family want to expose themselves to that, and be under constant scrutiny. Yes you are right MONEY.

Can't really comment on the media, not being an 'idol' I tend not to get their attention.

Anyway, since I joined these forums, I totally stopped to watch TV. There's more acting and fun round these pages. Thats a fact.

I never watch these 'reality' shows. I think they're rediculous. The people in them are desperate. Once the media has you, they can invade your privacy. I prefer to step back and watch a George Clooney movie, myself.

There is no end to what people will do for money. The thing that is far worse though is that some will go to even greater lengths just to be noticed. thats really bad

What about that jerk who killed a pig on Survivor? There was no reason for that. I'm so glad I didn't watch it. If I would have seen it I think his 'survivor' status would be 'X'd out.
