I was watching a show on the Discovery Channel yesterday about the Tsunami. Scientists found where the Tsunami/earthquake originated in the indian Ocean & there's a big ridge all along the fault line. They said only half of the fault let go & the rest of the fault should be expected to move in the future, causing more quakes & Tsunamis.
Then the news came on & guess what? Another one has hit & the count is under 90 dead- so far.
BTW- there is the same type of fault line parallelling the northwestern coast of the US- Central Claifornia to Northern Washington State are vulnerable to a wave that scientists predict will be up to 100 feet in height. And the coast will have about 15 minutes to evacuate to higher ground after the quake. And they say 'when', not 'if'.
