I couldn't answer 1 or 4, but do you guys really call garage sales "rummage sales" ? That is such a great expression.

I call them yard sales. I usually can find some good books really cheap at one. I bought a computer monitor for a dollar at the last one I went to. The thing actually works better than the one I was using. You would be surprised at what you can find at a yard sale. Some people get new stuff,and just sell off their old stuff cheap to get rid of it.
